How to open Cans
Date: 12/25/2003     Language: English

By marcio Brazil

There are 3 ways of opening the cans.

- Top Opened.
This is the most common way to open the cans.
You open the can by its ring, and drink the contents by the normal way.

- Bottom Opened.
The most preferred by the collectors.
It is made a hole on the bottom base of the can.

I will explain a method how to open it.

a) What you need: thick nail and a hammer (or similar tools).
b) Go to the sink, or any other place, that you can make some "mess".
c) Take the can, and turn it upside down.
d) Carefully make a small hole with the nail using the hammer, on the corner of the base of can.
e) Some gas and contents will be split out of can.
f) After it, continue making a hole untill the nail gets into the can.
g) Do the same thing on the other corner. It is need two holes, this way, the contents will be poured faster.
h) You can drink the contents with a straw, or...
i) On the sink, shake the can, and the contents will be poured out.
j) Clean the can, filling the can with water.
k) Clean the mess you made.

- Fake Air Filled
I learned this method with a friend from Hong Kong, Ronnie Wong.
It consists in making a very small and tiny hole on the can, then you pour all the contents out.
The can looks like it was never opened, but it is empty.

a) What you need: A very sharp cutter.
b) Go to the sink, or any other place, that you can make some "mess".
c) Turn the ring of the can.
d) Make a dot with the cutter.
e) Shake the can.
f) Turn the can upside down.
g) Pour the contents out.
h) After some time, the can will still have some contents.
i) Heat some water.
j) Then, put the can on the hot water. The air inside the can will expand, pouring the rest of contents out.

This method is one of the best! But it takes some time and patience.
